Fontcouverte, a small village in the south of France, located in the Aude department and the Occitanie region (Languedoc-Roussilon). You will find a post office, cafe, grocery, a bread collection point and the weekly fruit and vegetable market, Thursday pizza. During the summer months , weekly fun village activities . Supermarket chains, pharmacies, doctors, restaurants, cafes, a disco, a cinema, etc. are 4-7 km away. The beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, the rivers and lakes provide the necessary refreshment during the beautiful warm summers. Carcassonne, Narbonne, Béziers (20-30 minutes) and even Toulouse, Montpellier and Perpignan (50-70 minutes) are quickly accessible. Located in the largest wine-growing area of France, on the border of Les Corbieres and le Minervois, sur La route 20 (say vin) with many wine domains, caves and chateaux that you can visit freely and have a drink. The cuisine is Mediterranean French/Spanish and the prices are still very correct. Olives, honey, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, fresh fish, .... to be enjoyed in the pleasant shaded gardens in various restaurants. Midi menu 13-14€. Traveling by car in the French countryside is strongly recommended. Public transport is virtually non-existent.
